How It Works

The object x is a polycrystal with K grains. Each pixel carries a weight vector of length K — the orientation distribution in that voxel.

The tomographic operator P projects each basis-function image along the pencil beam at angle φ and translation t, yielding one reading per (φ, t) pair — a point in the sinogram Px.

Switch to Grain k mode and slide through grains to see how each basis function's sinogram uses a black→grain-color scale. The highlighted pixel marks the current beam position.
